Early in 2006 Eric Buechel began working on a series of large charcoal drawings he coined Gothic- Expressionism. The first was titled Brianna, after a young 14 year old model, which dressed in a black wardrobe called Goth. The line and tone are vigorously drawn and reflects emotions influenced from the German Expressionists in Berlin in the 1920’s. Eric completed a series of 50 pieces through 2007 and will be looking to exhibit the works in late 2010.
